Promises

"Oh my gosh, maybe I should have washed my hands before making that salad!" Faye thought while trying to hold the barf in. She raced towards the restroom, somehow making it with the eye mask still on.

"Ugh, I haven't thrown up in ages, I forgot how icky it feels," she sighed while making sure nothing got into her hair. Faye took a quick shower afterwards and decided to have some waffles for breakfast; this time making sure her hands were clean and that none of the food was rotten.

After finishing her meal, she noticed that she had forgotten to wash the dish from yesterday afternoon, with all that drama with her crazy neighbors. Faye sat there thinking of what she could do, it was still early in the morning and did no have to go in until 3 P.M. "Oh, maybe I should visit the park, I passed by it when I moved here and it looked absolutely beautiful." So after washing the dishes, she headed off to the park. As she changed into her favorite dress, Faye noticed her dress seemed a little tighter than usual but put that thought aside and blamed it on eating more than usual.

Faye spent the morning watching some of the wild animals, smelling flowers and of course, playing her guitar.

Having more time to kill, she also decided to stop by the front of the theater where she played the guitar and  met one of her co-workers, who seemed to enjoy her performance.

She also decided to visit the Salon next door, but with all the stylists busy and work starting soon, Faye only had enough time to admire it's clean and sleek interior

After briefly visiting the Salon, she headed straight to work. Faye worked hard even though she was feeling fatigued and nauseous, she wanted to impress her co-workers. She was only half way into her first day, when she could no longer hold in the nauseous-ness and ran to the restroom. One of her concerned co-workers followed her to make sure she was alright, and went to tell their boss Deandre what had happened.

"Faye, you must have worked yourself too hard, have you been eating well, or maybe you came down with a flu?" Andre asked her as he stroked his goatee.

"Yeah, w-well I have been feeling pretty nauseous lately. I didn't feel too well this morning but I was fine until now..."

"Hmmm," Andre said, thinking of a way to carefully place his words. "I don't mean to intrude, but might you be pregnant?"

Faye was shocked, of course this could have happened, but she had placed those memory into the furthest corner of her mind that she hadn't even thought of it. "I-I'm really not su-"

"You don't have to answer, but why don't you take some time off. I trust that you will continue practicing at home, and when you come back it'll be like you never left," said Andre as he patted her back. "Now off you go! There's spare clothes in the the employee lounge, if you feel like changing"

"Oh, I'm so lucky to have Andre as my boss," thought Faye. Before leaving, she looked at her belly and thought to herself, "if I am pregnant... no matter what happened in the past, this was not the baby's fault and I swear to keep it safe and happy."

P.S.

I intended for this to be longer content-wise but I think this was a good place to end. Also, sorry for the long-ish convo between Andre and Faye, it just wouldn't make much sense if Faye suddenly left work and BAM she finds out she's pregnant. This seemed to flow more, and I kind of threw it in there last minute.

I've also been thinking, do a lot of you use pose player throughout your stories? I haven't played with that very must and I was thinking it would make certain scenes easier.

Again, any feedback, critique, and suggestions are greatly appreciated! :)

P.P.S

I took this screenshot, but it didn't really fit anywhere in the story. I just LOVE the face she's making! She looks more like a rock star than a classical music composer.

Not So Welcome.

Attempting to run from her mistakes is what lead Faye Vunnown to move to Twinbrook, quite a change from the hustle and bustle of Bridgeport. The town was small and quaint, with no skyscrapers reaching out towards the sun, and no smoggy mornings. Faye looked forward to living here, as she was a quiet, shy sim with no dreams of being around large crowds of people; and with all the noise from honking taxi's to the chatter of sims, it was easy to lose her train of thought. The only thing that worried her about being in Twinbrook was that it would cause her dream of becoming a classical music composer would take longer than she hoped.

Faye had a passion for playing instruments of all types, her only priority at the moment was to get a job at the local theatre and rise to the top of the best known artists. Her guitar was the only thing she brought with her from Bridgeport- and because she had little money only bought what was necessary for living. Faye sighed and thought to herself "The first thing is find out where that theater is so I can get a-"

"Um, hello?" said a dark skinned girl, with braided hair and red framed glasses, "I'm Alma Drill and my friend here," Alma said, pointing to a middle aged woman with blond hair and revealing clothing, "is Kat Hunter."

Alma walked inside the house, without much manners. Faye being a shy sim, was not one to speak up and simply ignored it, "Maybe this is how things work in this town..." she thought as she followed suit.

As soon as Alma walked in, nothing but negative came out of her mouth. "Wow, you really do not have much in here. Didn't you think ahead of time before moving in?!"

"W-well it was really a last minute decision..." Faye mumbled, she really had not been expecting guests, especially not people THIS rude.

Kat yawned and said "Your house is like, so dull. Your TV only has three channels, and like, your screen is sooooooooo tiny, how am I supposed to watch hot athletes tackle eachother?!" Faye was obviously frustrated, but decided to ignore it, since she hoped they'd get bored enough to leave.

After they were done attacking Faye, they went after each other. Faye didn't want to get involved, and just stood there watching them argue. Eventually Alma went to watch TV, but Kat had other plans.

"EEEK-" Faye screamed in terror, while Kat laughed obnoxious.
"Gotcha!"

Tempted to kick them out right there and then, Faye composed herself and decided to make lunch for herself, since all this drama was making her hungry.

This was her first time cooking, back in Bridgeport the family's butler would do most of the work around the house. She grew up a very pampered child, but never let this get to her head.

After successfully cooking her first meal, she was feeling pretty proud of herself. "If I can handle two crazy neighbors and make myself a square meal, then I can do anything!"

After a bit of choking, from too much spice, she noted to herself what she would have to do right the next time around. For a while, there was nothing but the sound Faye choking, the TV and occasional chatter of her crazy visitors. Faye couldn't help but listen to what they were saying.

"This girl has no personality! I'm embarrassed for her!" Alma said, "She doesn't even know how to properly treat her guests."
Kat clapped her hands together in agreement, "And to think I live right across the street, I hope she doesn't get all clingy."

Again, being too nice fr her own good Faye ignored their comments and decided it was getting late. She asked them to leave, with the excuse of saying that she had to go to the theater, which wasn't entirely a lie.

When she arrived at the theater, she was feeling excited. Faye hoped she wouldn't be too awkward while being interviewed, and that she could start as soon as possible.

And without a doubt, the boss, whose named was DeAndre Wolf, absolutely adored her and hired her on the spot. Feeling accomplished, she walked out of the theatre and had a mini celebration... but soon forgot what she was doing.

The sun was setting, and Faye went back home. All the way home she planned out everything, guitar classes, getting to know her co-workers, beginning a new life. She wanted desperately to forget the life she left behind in Bridgeport, and was eager to begin her life here.

After a quick shower, she changed into her nighties and went to bed.

And that night, she slept soundly, with dreams of her future.

P.S
This first part was really slow, with only one sim there wasn't much interaction other than her crazy neighbors, but they were just big meanies so when they left Faye was in the red with them. This is my first time writing a story in the longest time, so I apologize for any grammar mistake or overall cheesy-ness. I am totally open to critique and what not so go for it! Hopefully it'll pick up in the next few episodes. :)
